Meet our Family

Bhanu loves sports and gardening. He has been an active part of our garden for many years working alongside his brothers and sisters to maintain the space. Bhanu wants to be an electrician. He is currently attending St. Francis Xaviers ITI College, a vocational college focused on the trades. Upon graduation Bhanu will pursue a job as a licensed electrician. He is living near campus with a few of his brothers who are attending the same school.

Kala came to Hope Now in 2012 after her mother died of AIDS. She is a funny, kind young woman who dreams of being a bank manager one day. Kala is currently attending Loyola Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in Economics/Commerce. She loves to play chess with her sisters and is living in the college hostel.

Priyanka loves to read. She enjoys history and has a curious mind. Priyanka chose to study business and commerce at St. Pious College. She wants to work in the software industry after graduation. She is living in a college hostel with a few of her sisters who are attending the same school.

Vijay enjoys cricket, volleyball and photography. He plays a mean electric guitar and dreams of becoming an architect. Vijay is currently attending Vaibhav Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in engineering. He lives at the college hostel with a few of his brothers who are attending the same school.

Sandeep came to us after his parents died of AIDS. At first school was a bit of a struggle. We discovered that Sandeep had a hearing problem. He underwent surgery and after that school was much easier. Sandeep has a mind for mechanics and he wants to be a diesel mechanic and work on big tractors and farm equipment. He is currently attending St. Francis Xaviers ITI College and pursing a degree in mechanics.

Sandhya came to us after her parents died of AIDS in a local hospital. She was 7 years old. She loves math and wants to be an engineer. She loves school and works hard in her studies. Sandhya is enrolled at St. Pious Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in engineering. She lives in a school hostel with several of her sisters.

Shashank is a quiet, kind young man who has always been the best big brother. He is a budding photographer and enjoys making videos. He wants to pursue a career as an IAS officer – the Indian Administrative Service division. He is currently enrolled in Vaibhav Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in Civics and Economics. He lives in a campus hostel with several of his brothers.

Shashidhar enjoys wild life photography and loves to draw. He is good at sports, loves playing cricket with his siblings and is always ready for a good game of chess. He wants to be a civil engineer. Shashidhar is currently enrolled at Vaibhav Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He lives in a campus hostel with several of his brothers.

Sony came to us in 2010 after her parents died of AIDS. She has grown up at Hope Now and is a kind, considerate young woman. Sony dreams of being a teacher. In between her studies and the classroom, she is teaching herself how to type. Sony is currently enrolled at St. Pious Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in education. She lives in a campus hostel with several of her sisters.

Yakub loves to draw and wants to be an architect. After he graduates from college, he wants to get married and have a family. He is currently enrolled at the Government ITI College and lives with his sister.

Akhil is a great photographer and enjoys making videos. He has always had a goal to work for the government as an IAS officer. He is in his final year at Nobel Degree College working toward a bachelor degree in analytics. He wants to pursue an MBA and one day get married and have a family.

Jyothi came to us from Kolkata after her mother died of AIDS. She was 6 years old. She has always been a child filled with joy and she enjoys designing and creating her own clothes. Jyothi graduated from Elite Paramedical College in 2023 with a degree in healthcare. She is currently pursuing an additional course in Anesthesia and working at a government hospital in the operating room as an intern.

Bhemamma came to Hope Now in 2010 after her parents died of AIDS. She is a diligent student and has worked very hard in her studies. She graduated with her AA degree as a Medical Healthcare Worker in 2023 and is currently at Padmaja Hospital completing her required Internship. She lives with several of her sisters in a hostel near the hospital.

Chandappa is a great football player and spends many of his free hours watching YouTube lectures on medical technology. He wants to be a veterinarian. He is currently enrolled at Little Flower Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Bio Chemistry.

Gayathri was one of our first. She came to Hope Now in 2008 when she was 6 years old after her parents died of AIDS. She is a shy young lady and loves to be in nature. She is currently enrolled at Siddhartha Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Bio Chemistry. She is living with her sister Anitha near campus.

Jyothi has a wonderful sense of humor and is quick to laugh. School was not always easy for her but she was determined to find a course of study that suited her. She joined a few of her sisters at Elite Paramedical College and completed her AA degree as a Multi-Purpose Healthcare Worker. She is currently completing her required one-year Internship at Padmaja Hospital.

Nani is a soft-spoken, kind young man. He has been a great big brother and loves to play cricket. Nani is currently enrolled at St. Mary’s Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Business Analytics. He wants to be an Executive in a software company and pursue a MBA in marketing.

Narender enjoys music and a good book. He reads the newspaper daily and wants to be a Software Analyst. Narender is currently enrolled at Noble Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Statistics.

Reshma came to us from a government hospital in 2010 when she was 8 years old after her parents died of AIDS. Reshma loves hiking, nature and working in the garden. Reshma wants to be a hairdresser and beautician focused on cosmetology. She is currently enrolled at Siddhartha Degree College pursuing a degree in cosmetology.

Ruksara came to Hope Now in 2010 when she was 8 years old after her parents died of AIDS. Ruksara loves to cook and has spent many hours in the kitchen creating meals for her siblings. She wants to be a Certified Professional Medical Coder and a Nutritionist. She is currently enrolled at Siddhartha Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Science.

Sai Leela came to Hope Now in 2012 from a rural hospital after her parents died of AIDS. Sai Leela loves to bake and is a great cake baker. She has always been interested in computer science and wants to be a software programmer and work in digital marketing. She is currently enrolled in Word and Deed Junior College pursuing a bachelor degree in Computer Science.

Shiva loves sports and enjoys playing cricket with his siblings. He enjoys nature and seeing new places. Shiva wants to work in the computer science industry as a Cloud Architect. He is currently enrolled at Little Flower Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Science with a focus on Math.

Shyam came to Hope Now as a young boy and has always been curious. He loves photography and making videos. He volunteers at his church, working with the creative team. He is currently enrolled at Noble Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Science. He wants to work for a multinational company in HR.

Swapna came to Hope Now when she was 5 years old after her parents died of AIDS. She was a small, shy girl and took some time to settle in. She likes to be outside, enjoys embroidery and listening to music. Swapna is currently enrolled at St. Pious Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Science. She wants to be a Bio Chemist with a focus on research.

Venkatesh loves learning new things and is teaching himself how to mix and edit audio tracks. He wants to be an HR Manager and one day set up a small business of his own. He is currently enrolled at Wesley Degree College pursuing a bachelor degree in Business Administration. He lives with his brothers Ramesh, Nissar and Linga.

Vinod enjoys playing and watching any kind of sport. He likes to read and wants to travel the world one day. Vinod wants to be an electrical engineer. He is currently enrolled at Noble Degree College pursuing a bachelor of science.
